A new proposed bill in California could allow cannabis businesses to serve food and drinks and host live music. Supporters of AB 374 say it could help businesses compete with the illegal market and appeal to more customers. Similar cannabis cafes are popular in Amsterdam.

Jessica McElfresh was mentioned in the San Francisco Chronicle’s coverage of the proposed bill. Attorney McElfresh said the change in law “would be significant for cannabis lounges and the development of that business type” since it would remove restrictions on cannabis businesses selling regular food and drink alongside cannabis products.
