Not long ago, a man with a prior misdemeanor indecent exposure conviction from over 30 years ago came to McElfresh Law after being charged again with two felonies for indecent exposure and two misdemeanors for molesting and annoying a child.
This time, he allegedly exposed himself on two different occasions to two young girls. One of the girl’s mothers chased him down and took a picture, even posting it online. The man responded to her post and stated it had all been a misunderstanding.
Facing at least six years in prison, he enlisted San Diego criminal defense lawyer, Jessica McElfresh. With her aggressive mediation, attorney McElfresh negotiated no jail time or long-term in-patient treatments. Instead, he entered voluntary out-patient treatment, and his charges were lessened to only one felony of indecent exposure.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
